Nigeria Helper Program and BAPOM 10 Year Anniversary

On July 6th, 2026, the Nigeria Family Helper Program (NFHP) and the Boniface and Paulina Okafor Memorial Hospital (BAPOM) celebrated their 10 year anniversary.

The story of the Nigeria Family Helper Program and BAPOM Hospital cannot be told without acknowledging Deacon Jim and Anne McLevey who God used as instruments to sow the little seed that is now growing into a big tree that is providing shade – food, education, quality healthcare, holistic wellbeing and hope to many people., especially the poor and needy in Isuochi and neighbouring communities in Abia State, Nigeria. It has been ten years of experiencing God’s abundant blessings and miraculous providence, beautiful testimonies of lives saved and hopes restored.

As we celebrate this milestone, we give heartfelt thanks to God, our Lord Jesus Christ, St Joseph and Our Blessed Virgin Mary for a decade of abundant blessings , compassionate service, and healing.

We sincerely appreciate the Coordinators of this program here in Canada for their dedication, selfless sacrifices and tireless commitment towards the growth and sustainability of this noble cause. We equally thank the benefactors and friends for their generous support and selfless love.

We appreciate Christ the King parishioners for their prayers , encouragement, and partnership. A big thank you to the hospital management and staff for their professionalism, compassion and unwavering care for every patient.

We pray that God may richly bless each of you with good health of mind and body, wisdom, renewed strength, and abundant grace. May He continue to prosper the work of your hands and reward your generosity beyond measure.

We also pray for all the beneficiary families of the Nigeria Family Helper Program and every patient who comes to BAPOM Hospital. May the Lord provide for every family in need, restore health to the sick, comfort those who are suffering, and fill every heart with hope and peace. May this ministry of love continue to be a beacon of God’s mercy for many generations to come. We commit into the loving and merciful hands of God all our benefactors who have dies, may God grant them eternal rest.

Finally, we say a BIG Congratulations to the Nigeria Family Helper Program and BAPOM Hospital on this remarkable milestone. May God continue to bless and sustain this noble mission for His glory, wellbeing and salvation of souls. Amen
