Dear Parishioners,
In our July update, we advised that we were awaiting consultant information needed to finalize project estimates for the proposed work.
We have now received these estimates and have presented the St. Vincent de Paul renovation to the Archbishop and his team. Since that time, Parish and Archdiocesan officials have continued their discussions, and questions regarding the Parish’s long-term financial sustainability in relation to the project have been raised. As a result, certain aspects of the project require further review and consideration. This process has reinforced the importance of thoughtful stewardship as we discern how best to care for the resources God has entrusted to our Parish. We will explore this more fully during our Stewardship Campaign in October.
To ensure that the long-term implications of the project are understood and result in Diocesan approval of the project, we are not yet in a position to provide a further update. We expect to communicate additional information later this year once this review process has been completed.
