Are you curious about the Catholic faith? Have you felt a longing to explore something deeper or more meaningful in your life? Whether you are unbaptized, baptized in another Christian tradition, or simply searching for spiritual direction, the Catholic Church warmly welcomes you.
At our parish, we offer the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), a guided process for adults and children over the age of 8 who wish to become full members of the Catholic Church.
What is RCIA?
RCIA is a journey of discovery and formation. It is not simply a course in Catholic teachings, but rather a path of personal growth and spiritual awakening. Through weekly sessions, you will explore the core beliefs of the Catholic faith, including Scripture, prayer, sacraments, the life of Jesus Christ, and the meaning of community. You will also be introduced to Catholic traditions, moral teachings, and the rhythm of the liturgical year.
Throughout the process, you will be accompanied by members of the parish who will support you with prayer, friendship, and conversation. There is no pressure to commit at any point; it is a time for asking honest questions and finding answers in a welcoming and non-judgemental environment.
Who Can Join?
RCIA is for:
- Adults who have never been baptized
- Christians baptized in another tradition who now feel drawn to the Catholic Church
- Baptized Catholics who have not received the sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation
- Children aged 8 and over who have never been baptized
You do not need to have any previous religious education or church background to begin. All you need is a sincere interest in learning more.
