Legacy Giving at Christ the King Parish

A legacy gift is a gift made in the future but planned for today. It is a simple way to support your parish, often through a will, retirement account, or life-insurance policy. It costs nothing today, yet helps ensure the ministries you cherish will thrive for years to come. We each have causes and ministries we like to donate to throughout our lifetime to help charities fund their mission. Legacy giving, however, is a little different. Donations usually are the answer to the question: “how can I help today?”, but Legacy Gifts are the answer to: “How can I help tomorrow?” and “How would I like to be remembered?”. Many of us don’t know that they’re an option, how they are paid out, or the tax benefits of these gifts.
