St Thomas More Conference
The Saint Thomas More Conference (SSVP) continues to fulfill its mission to provide assistance to the less fortunate in our community with a particular emphasis on food insecurity. Ongoing food inflation pricing continues to strain budgets and disproportionally impact lower wage earners and social assistance recipients, making our programs more vital than ever.
Some of their activities are as follows:
• Delivering food to families from the Emergency Pantry at St.Thomas More Church.
• Providing financial assistance to families to help with utility bills and home heating.
• Preparing and delivering Christmas Food Hampers.
• Supporting a Grab and Go program at Ian Forsythe Elementary School.
• Partnering with the East Dartmouth Christian Food Bank, which provides food for families.
• Providing back to school supplies for elementary students.
• Providing sunscreen and hats for children and adults.
